For an employee to request leave from our office holiday planner software, it is simple and straight forward. Simply select the start and finsh dates of the required leave and choose whether any of the dates are half days.
Select the appropriate absence type (e.g. annual leave, compassionate, jury duty etc). If annual leave is selected the number of working days are taken from the employees annual leave entitlement.
If you have special permissions or are the manager/assistant for another employee you can request leave on their behalf.
A reason can be added to promote better information for the manager to make the correct decision.
Once the request is made (by clicking the request button), Office Control will check the employee's entitlement to see if they have enough days left to take this leave.
Office Control will then check all leave policies to see if any will be breached if this request is continued. These policies might include making sure 2 specific employees are not away at the same time or ensure department levels do not drop too low. These policies can be set to enforce (which will deny the request immediately if breached) or alert which will infom the manager of the specific conflict but still allow the approval decision.
An email is then sent to the Requester as a receipt and to the manager to notify the awaiting request on Office Control.
